Puppies are cute as all can be and they are certainly some of the best pets in the world, but training them can be extremely difficult. Whether you are trying to train your puppy to stop biting or you are training him/her not to wet the floor, it is a difficult task. In this article, we are going to teach you how to stop puppy biting and how you can effectively get your puppy to stop biting you constantly.

Firstly, you need to understand that you, as the human and owner of your dog, are known as the Alpha dog. This is a term that can be used to describe how you are in viewed in your dog's pack. This means that your dog should absolutely respect you, but it can be hard to gain that respect if you are not sure what to do.

Training your puppy is hard especially when it comes to training your puppy not to bite you. You definitely need to remember not to jerk your hand away whenever your puppy bites you. This can be deceiving to your dog because he/she will think it is all games whenever you pull you hand back.

Now that we have stated that you cannot pull your hand back, no matter how badly you would like to, the next step is actually training your puppy not to bite you. First, make a fist and let the dog bite you until you start to feel pain. As soon as you feel pain, you should then change the sound and tone of your voice and you should be become extremely firm and stern with your puppy. That way, he or she knows that you are serious and that biting you is not a good thing.

What many people do not know, especially if they have not owned a lot of animals in their life, is that puppies and dogs especially, are affected very much by the tone of your voice. If you sound extremely angry with them, they will not be able to handle it and they will stop doing whatever makes you angry.

Another great idea is to just ignore your dog. Now, this sounds mean, but it actually works extremely well. Puppies are attention-getters and they definitely want to make sure that they have all sorts of attention. If you are completely ignoring them, it will drive them insane!

It is pretty obvious that there are tons of things that you really need to ponder over whenever you are trying to stop your puppy from biting you. Just remember that while difficult, it is not impossible and you really just need to make sure that you practice some of these techniques with your dog.

The old saying "practice makes perfect" is something that holds true whenever you are trying to get your puppy to stop biting. Just remember these points as well as the tone of your voice and you should have absolutely no problems at all!
